Construction of a green roof is a great way to use the space of the city, protect the environment and save in the the long term. These vegetative - or garden roofs (part of the roof with plants installed over the waterproofing membrane) have become very successful solution worldwide. Among their advantages are mainly limiting dust and humidity control, additional heat and noise insulation (up to 50dB), slow water runoff during rain and thus burden reduction on drains. Roof coverings protect against mechanical damage and UV radiation. Among the disadvantages, or requirements include increasing the load bearing structure - hence the higher cost of implementation, problematic correcion of defects in isolation and demanding maintenance - irrigation, replenishing of vegetation.
